Just bought a refurbished konica minolta c450 with fiery but can not get my office network to recognize it. Unlike my other c450 (without fiery) I just pluged it into the router and could run my router utility to see my ip address. On this one nothing. Even when going into utilities - admin - network settings, the tcp/ip settings option is not there unlike my original machine. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have a c450 so someone else please jump in...

in the meantime, you sure there isn't a separate fiery service menu that you're not seeing? You should be seeing the fiery's own config menu too. I thought it was under utility -> controller detail, (then something like run setup to configure the basic network details) but maybe it's somewhere else. Is the c450 seeing the fiery correctly and vice versa to start? Triple check cable between printer and rip if you're not seeing the controller show up on the printer's menu.

before connecting the cable between the two I was getting a "power on controller" message, but after connecting the two that went away and an info button appeared that showed the fiery as being x3e ..... But am not seeing a way to config the fiery

You should be able to go to the menu and print pages, where you can print a config page. This will tell you the IP address stored in the Fiery. You can go to the menu and scroll down to Run Setup, which will let you go in and configure the settings listed on the config sheet. I think it will ask you for a password which should be "Feiry.1"
