Bizhub c203 won't print special effects (dropshadows, etc) from microsoft word, etc

Printer: Konica Minolta Bizhub C203

Our leased printer won't seem to print any dropshadows, etc from programs like Microsoft Word or Publisher. What it will often do in the case of a dropshadow is just lay a gray rectangle along the bottom of the image or box being printed instead of a gradual fade.

I still can't seem to figure out if it is a particular printer setting I need to set on the Bizhub C203 or within the program itself. I have tried printing the quality with a photo-like profile on white paper, and still with no luck. Any ideas?

 

Are you using a PS or PCL driver? Have you tried changing the driver?
