Uneven density

You may want to perform the charge corona height adjustment to even the density from front to back on test pattern 53.

  • It's within the machine's specification…

We had the same problems with a c5500. As this is nearly exactly the same machine I will try to answer you: we had a lot of discussions with KM Technicians and marketing people. The last thing we heard was that this is not a problem as it lies within the machine's specifications. At least this is what you will always hear when they aren't able to solve problems.

After a year or two they brought some new Drum Units (DU-102c). Important thing is the "c". They told us the new revisions would solve some problems regarding Blade Flipping. With the new Drum Units the problem was not solved entirely but it got better.

What improved the quality of large grey areas was profiling the machine with ColorCare. I can't tell you how much you would have to pay for that. But this really improved the overall quality of the machine.

    Maybe this would help

thanks a lot. we have solved the problem by replacing the laser writing unit of K.

First you have to put the A4 paper as A4S into the machine. Otherwise you won't be able to let the machine fold the paper.
If you want the paper to be folded to DL you need to set the paper weight to 80 g/sqm. You can obly fold up to three pages at a time to DL. At least these are the specs if you use the finisher FS-607. For other finishers I can't tell.
