    Hi all,

I have an old Komori 426. Recently I notice a pitting on the Plate Cylinder of one unit resulting in an uneven ink distribution on the sheet, a speckled appearance.
The back of the plate shows dents in the plate matching the pitting.

Any suggestions aside from removing the cylinder and re chroming?

    Will extra packing help?

rechroming can be done on press

No real need to take the press apart - it can be done on press.

Does the cylinder not have to be removed and immersed in liquid for the chrome process?
I hear that there is a dry thermal ceramic coating process too. Any ideas about that?
