I am writing in regards to the the Product model "KOMORI PDC-SII".

I was working on this machine and found an error "Now communicating to PQC".

When I run the printing a window comes on screen written with above mentioned message, the machine stuck for 10-15 minutes then again it showed up with same message when I perform the task.

Please can anyone help me with the solution of this error.

"Now Communicating to the PQC" is not actually an error, it's just letting you know what it is doing. Having said that, if it won't go away in a few seconds, you probably have a communication problem between the PDC-SII and the PQC. What about the KMS? Does it have any problems communicating with the PQC? The PDC-SII communicates with a PC, located on a shelf inside the PQC, via Ethernet. That PC communicates with the PQC via RS422 (Serial comm using Moxa board). So determining if the problem is between the PDC-SII and the PC and/or the PC and the PQC is where you start.

    Thanks a lot for replying.
I am going to start what you said, but can you please explain little more about KMS? Regarding KMS what do you think that what are possible problems which may occur?

KMS is the program that you use to load/save jobs, keep track of maintenance and errors. Like PDC-SII, it communicates with the PQC (the console), by way of a communication card made by MOXA. Normal communication problems are: Comm ports set up incorrectly in Device Manager, problems with the driver, loose cables, etc. Has the computer been replaced? What operating system are you using? When do you first start having troubles?

    Hello Dear,

if your press PC can be entered from rempote , it can be checked for you over the network easy & quick.
Any remote S/W as PC anywhere or Team viewer will be good for this - to check your settings and advise more

Thanks for your response. I mean that I am working on KOMORI PDC-SII and PQC. You know that there is PC on PDC-SII so when I want to select the different printing tasks to start in company's developed software then I can only select one job to start. So my question is that how can I select more than one job to start.
    Sorry to bother you again.
    Thanks in advance.

You can only start one job at a time. You can suspend a job and then
start another but I am unsure as to what you are trying to do?

So can you please tell me now that how can I do that.
If you can send me your email then I can send you the screen shot of the problem.

    Regards,
    Vannessa

Pdcs is an x rite hardware and software device integrated for a closed loop system for quality control of current running press sheets. KHS ( Komori Hyper-J system) is a workflow integrated software for management and input of cip profiles for setting ink fountain keys for specified jobs.
You can only have one active job at a time on the "schedule," unfortunately if you want to "import or export" jobs within the KHS workflow, you can only do that one at a time as well.
KMS (komori management system) manages the schedule and monitors other press administrative functions on press and in conjunction with the larger pressroom network.
If you are reffering to a pop-up small window after scanning a sheet within the xrite software interface that says communicating with PQC (print quality control (essentially the console)) it goes away.
As presselectronics asked, if you are having larger device communication problems it will not only affect the Xrite software with the console but the KHS software as well.
Can you isolate your question better? Maybe post a picture of your screen?

you know...it is just as easy to send a private message to invite spam....You can just as easy upload an image to the forum.
Really! WORD FILE....please you are a printer you can make a PDF.
If you are having base level communication problems with your MOXA board you need to explain your situation. i.e. this is a new press for you, you are knew to it...it never worked, it was working and now it is not.. What you have tried to resolve the issue and what did not work.
FYI: If this is a MOXA board issue: if you let Windows operating system automatically configure the MOXA board, Windows will set the com port address of the MOXA board incorrectly. You need to know the manual com address settings of the MOXA board.
If it is not a MOXA board issue, it is a software issue, a hard drive issue, or operator error.
FWIW: please use the forum responsibly and not make it look as though you want our e-mail addresses for spam.
HTH if you post it here

I have attached two links link (1) is for "job selection and deletion" problem and link (2) is for "Now communicating to PQC" problem.

    (1) http://www.colorprintingforum.com/m...-pqc-problems/2761-kms-job-selection-problem/

    To select a job:

From the given image you can see that I have opened KMS and now I want to select a job to perform.

Steps: KMS → Import Job Data (opened window) → Project (which is selected as P, left side of window) → Job (here I can select only one job).

So my question is that when I come to select in job box I want to select more than one job. I know I can have only one active job but I want to put rest of the jobs in a queue. So is it possible that I can put rest of jobs in a queue, as one job come to finish and other job starts automatically?

    To delete a job:

From the given image you can see that I have opened KMS and now I want to delete a job.
Steps: KMS → Import Job Data (opened window) → Project (which is selected as P, left side of window) → Job (here I can delete only one job).

You can see that there is sign of “x” right of job tool. So I can delete one job at a time but if I want to delete more than one job than how can I select all the jobs which I want to delete simultaneously because deleting one by one consume time.

    (2) http://www.colorprintingforum.com/m...-problems/2762-now-communicating-pqc-problem/

    Now Communicating to PQC:

I am sending you the message comes when we operate the machine. So my question is that, this message appears every time but disappears in few seconds, that's okay. But sometime this message appears for 15 minutes so how can I solve this problem.

Now I have attached the links of images, now may be the problem will be more clear to you. But if you find any difficulty in understanding the problem please let me know.

    Thanks again for your help.
Looking forward to hear from you soon.

    Regards,
    Vannessa

You can only select one jkb on the right at a time to place it on the schedule. If you wanted to delete jobs you can set the khs to delete the job from the folder after it is placed on the schedule. Or you would have to delete them one at a time
