    Dear All,

I am from India which has a standard voltage of 220V. I am planning to purchase a used Komori Litherone 426 - 4 colour press ex USA. The seller assures me that Komori makes machines for USA with a dual voltage selector of 110/220V. Is this correct?

I do not want to be straddled with a machine which has to have a step-down transformer.

Your seller is wrong but not totally wrong

Komori presses work on 200 volt and can be ran on 50/60 hertz

You can (and must) switch your friquency (50/60) , but will need to connect to a transformer.

Most of the transformers used on Komori can be used in the US or in like European voltage but it is never 220 V but 3X380-415 volt.

So the seller is both right & wrong :)

    Good luck

I don't know much about komori but here in Pakistan we have the same voltage as in India. On heidelberg presses there is the option to switch the voltage from 110 to 220 or as Meny said 3x380.. but we have to change connections on all the motors from star to delta....correct me if I'm wrong.

That means that if I purchase the Komori (US) model. I shall have to go in for a transformer too??

    Dear Meny,

The plate on the control board reads:
    200/220V
    50/60HZ
    125A

    Can you enlighten me?

What control board ? PQC ? Electrical cabinet ?

Komories are made i Japan and are built to Japan"s electric system - and that is 3X200 volt.

Some items are different like over head PQC lamp , some external pumps , cooling systems that may be local.....

I assume the press has a transformer - easy to ask & check
also easy to ask & check if the transformer has the right connections to connect it to youe system or just for the American System.

If you need to buy a transformer , you can buy one used for very little or a new one for about 3000 $ (MAX)
but first check as in normal places the transformer used is suitable for both US & EU systems
