Also, do not ever drop your water forms to the plate if you are still using the Step 1 wash up solution. Wait until you hit the rollers with blanket wash before dropping the water form or you will suffer tank contamination. If you only use blanket wash and water or just blanket wash then your okay.

ok you bet!....ran pretty well today even the feeder , I messed with the eyecom and made the red led lights go out and ran fine all day , thanfully this place is doing simple work
One problem I cant get rid of is offsetting , I mean right to the top sheet!!
theres powder coming out I can feel it on the sheet and iys jogging nicely in the delivery so Im thinking has to be the ink.....they bought Gans cause they didnt know what to buy so I have some Toyo coming in and will run it tomorrow...that gans seems to just lay on the sheet and dries slowly and I cant be running all this powder for jobs that have to go through again. Other than that its getting better , nice little press , too bad its not permanent , Ive had it with 8/c and UV.....Thanks for the tip!!

No heater? Sometimes, I'd have to add some Van Son Speedy Dry to my ink to achieve higher speeds. Just a thought.

Not much space for an IR unit on those Sprints.

But as for wash-up solution contaminating the water reservoir or tank...as long as you're using position 1 to washup then that only puts forme dampener and chrome oscillator into contact with the plate, so you shouldn't get solvent transference to the water pan.

Check out the icon roller positions at that switch position to see what I mean.

Im getting the basics in there right now , I mean he didnt even have wash-up bottles , I hade to use a Poland spring water bottle lol.....I actually prefer the liquid cobalt dryer that you put in the water ciculators but I will use some sort of dring stilulator too.........

We own a Sprint 226II and it is equipped with and IR unit which helps tremendously. There is plenty of room on the press for one.

It's tough to work for bosses like that. I had one tell me to buy my own gloves over the weekend when I was out doing my grocery shopping. They buy a press and have no idea what it takes to keep it up or even function properly. But they sure know everything about a print shop if you ask them!

HEY Lou I got a question for ya , the first week we had problems offsetting and this 26L only has a puffer type spray unit , so I checked the nozzels and there all facing towards the printing unit away from the sheet..I turn them around so there blowing onto the sheet and then I get decent ink and that cleared up most of the ofsetting , but Im still getting spotty offset and its jogging up nice in the delivery so is that correct about the position of those spray nozzels? I have no way of telling but common sense would dictate that they should be blowing onto the paper not the opposite,,,I dunno let me know if your familiar with this spray unit , it doesnt seem clogged up pr anything?
    Thanks
