Our 5 color Komori Lithrone 28 feeder won't shut off. Checked and cleaned off all sensors. Any ideas?

Feeder will not shut off ?

Well Mike , 2 possible reasons for this:
    1. a bad spirit got in to your press :)
    2. you IMPRESSION ON sensor is no clean or not seen to the press as clean.

If cleaning it with air is of no help , try with some small peace of rubber - some times they will be like GLASED , so air will not do the job , but mechanical rubbing will.

    Good luck

What about the Head Stops and Swing Gripper? If the other two shut off, then the problem is probably the feeder solenoid mechanism sticking. Sometimes you can clean and lube it. If it is all three than I agree with Meny, check your sensors, especially the Imp ON.

    Solenoid Linkage

We found the problem. Bolt holding the solenoid linkage arm broke. Replaced from old press parts box.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

Not to bring back up old posts uneccesarily, but thought I would mention it in case anyone ever searched this thread again for a similar problem. Our Lithrone 28 feeder wouldn't shut off either, and the solenoid itself ended up being bad. Had to change out the whole solenoid in our case.
