You are right, the document is your property, not the content. It's intellectual property and can only be shared or copied with the originator's consent. You can do whatever you want and ignore it to suit you, and you can try to justify in any way to make a quick buck. However, intellectual property's international laws also apply to Germany. Now, as this forum is about helping and sharing info, you may want to help that person and show that it's not all about money sometimes.
