We are in the market for a new digital press (our Canon C6000 can't keep up with our volume anymore). The Kodak sales rep came in with an attractive proposal for a Reconditioned Nexpress 2500. Does anyone have an experience (positive or negative) with one of these? Any advice is appreciated...we are also considering the Xerox Color 800/1000 and have ruled out the Konica c8000. Thanks, Darren Quality Imaging Services, Inc.
We have (1) recondition Nexpress 2100 plus with "high miles" whcih by the way we upgraded it to a 3000. The only issue that you will experience is re-breaking in period and from time to time there will be major down time to replace a major part since most belts and roller shafts are old. Other than that the Nexpress prints like a champ and I recommend the Nexpress over any digital presses. Note: Make sure you get the OCR click-plan so you don’t have to worry about swapping out parts before it’s recommend life span. Good Luck!
Thanks Schanx Hey Schanx - thanks for the fast reply and the information. We are located in New York City and getting the NexPress in is a challenge. The riggers where here today and said they could lower it in with a crane if we break a few walls! As you could imagine, because of this we want to make the right decision. Another quick question - How many impressions would you say you put on yours a month? Thanks, Darren Quality Imaging Services - Digital Printing
Darren, We average about 250m clicks a month on both presses. If you have any questions, regarding the Nexpress feel free to email me anytime. You can also get answers from experience press operator at http://nexpressforums.com/portal.php. Also the same screen name. "schanx" Steven stevenc@advancedimagedirect.com
how much it costs Nexpress Hello, how much it costs Nexpress We currently have 1050 hp indigo I am very interested to have an idea of the price, I'm Latin American and sellers tend to lie to take off a few extra dollars, many dollars! For example I recently traded KM6501 (basic) by U.S. $ 120,000 and a friend from Boston, I remain between $ 60,000 to $ 70,000. Yes, crazy! Now I'm getting a proposal to update the HP Indigo 3550 at $ 365,000. least my hp1050 (-US $ 65,000) to pay total $ 300,000. NEXPRESS new or reconditioned. how much it costs?
