I have been using a wide range of epson printers for CD Printing. The prints keep fading after a year. What other inkjet printers are available with a more durable print on CDs?

    Dye or Pigment ink?

What epsons are you using? When I used the old dye based epsons those inks faded terribly but that was a long time ago. I haven't had any noticeable fading from the epson pigment inks.

For high volumes you need a reliable system like cd printer from metronic www.kba-metronic.com
but it´s a little expensive. Or use screen printing, manual or semiautomatic.

I used an R360 with a CISS and had excellent success with it. It is the same as the R270

Inkjet is cheap which is great but you really cant compete with color thermal for quality reasons. You should check out Rimage equipment for cd printing. Its getting less expensive the results are truly light years better than printing with inkjet. If you do decide to stay with inkjet then there are a ton of places to get discs cheap. You might want to look into contacting a distributor but just remember the higher the quantity the cheaper they get.

Ink jet printer is one of the best devices for printing a CD. It is very cheap when compared with other printing devices. Could you please send some more attachments for detail view? I would like to thank the members of the forum.

I've also researched this quite a bit through forums and other types of medium, and I've found that most people prefer the HP Photosmart D5160 (Inkjet) or the Epson Photo R340.

The idea behind printing on CDs revolves around the ability to print photos. With that said, I'm sure there are countless printers that serve the same function and are able to remain vivid for an extended period of time.

I'm still searching too, but I hope these give you a slight idea of what you should be looking for.

It is lame to revive a new thread since I'm new here. I will recommend some inkjet cd printers that are durable and produces high quality prints, but it will still depends on your budget for your cd printing project. For small printing process I recommend Primera Bravo II 50 Disc Inkjet Autoprinter (click here for features). If you want to print more than 50 then XLNT IDEA Nexis 100AP 100 Disc Inkjet Autoprinter (get features and review here) is the best for your need. Hope this helps! :)
