    We bought a Indigo 1050.
Does any one know what needs to been done to make it ready for tranportation.

I found out the mirror in the writing head needs to be locked.
But I could not find how it needs too be locked.

Does any one know how this is done.
Is there more that needs to been done?

    Kind regards,
    Rob

    Hi Rob,
Open the left side cover of the machine, on the writing head you'll see a plastic cap, open it and turn the screw 1/2 turn clockwise. Here's a photo for you: http://tinypic.com/r/2cmte9d/9

The rest depends on how far you are going to move the machine and how careful you are going to be. We've moved a few Indigo's now without damage, flick me an email if you need more info.

    Cheers,
    Jonathon

    Thanks Jonathon,

The machine is about an hour drive. The road is not that great.
I will fix everything that can come lose.

    Kind regards,
    Rob

    Hi Rob,
I'd probably do the following if the road is bumpy:
    - Remove the developer drum as the wipers may scratch it
    - Drain some ink from the tanks
    - Drain some IO from the separator
    - Drain the cooler before you power down the machine
    - Put a thin bit of foam between the slit injector and PIP so it doesn't scratch the PIP or damage the PIP under layer
    - Remove the VME computer cabinet, don't try and lift the machine with it still connected.

    Good Luck!
