Has anyone had experience with blanketwash cloths coming off the roll during washups and being pulled through multiple units? This is happening more frequently, at least once per week.

Is it coming off the roll or the reel? Are you using Heidelberg washup towel rolls?

I suspect that when you are changing the rolls you are not tightening the spin on gear all the way till it seats on the shaft, it needs to be tight or it will back off once it backs off all the way the cloth will free spool.

you said it all gotaf7 we just trained some new guys and had this happen unit 5 and i just double check the rest of the blanket cartridges and found two that were tight,
once i found my unit 6 towel ran out with no warning so i removed the blanket wash cart and still no warning on the error screen, then i found a sensor on operater side for the blanket wash, once i cleaned it the error came on, then added it in are monthly maintenance, never seen it again,

I've seen this happen with cheap aftermarket blanket washer cloth. If the cloth is not manufactured with enough solvent, the too dry cloth with grab and unwind itself. If you insist on buying cheap consumables, at least error on the side of cloth that is too wet as opposed to too dry. You can always run the press on speed for a bit after cleaning the blankets to aid in drying before startup. Of course this will require more power so in the end a quality product may just be your most economical option, but good luck selling that one to the bean counters.

XL105 provides its own solutions to the cloth and the amounts of solutions can be altered

Thanks guys, yes we are using Heidelberg cloth and believe the solution settings to be correct. We narrowed it down to one operator not reassembling properly. I appreciate all of the assistance.
