Hi everyone .. just recently started running the 2013 basic sx 74 heidelberg 5 col . Noticed that it has very stand out shock marks spec from magenta and cyan.. ive run it dry to check its not damp etc...
Its def transfer shock marks anout 8 inches from grip same posi every unit. Does anyone know if the packing of the transfers are the problem and if so what is the best packing thickness . Thanks

A picture would help, however just guessing I would look at the rollers. the circumference of one of the rollers may be around 8 ". it may be hitting hard when it first comes into contact with the plate. ?? try to reset rollers.

I passed on the packing issue because packing shows up usually on the first inch to an inch and a half from the grippers and/or all over the printed area, not usually at an 8" from gripper area only.

again, a picture would best help to clearly identify your problem.

Your best bet here really is to contact Heidelberg especially on such a new machine. They have a program where you put in the specs of the shock marks, ie width of streak, distance from lead edge, distance of print begin, total distance of printed image etc. This program will then spit out most likely source of streak. My suggestion is call Heidelberg
