big job I would not recommend you attempting this yourself it would take us half a day with two engineers to do this job and you need to retime your pincer bar afterwards

If you dont have the proper training and tools required to perform the job, your probability of a successful outcome is very low. There are alot of very precise settings you need to make and many of these need guages. If you dont have a curve guage, I wouldnt even start the job. You will likely make matters worse than than already are.

I know its difficult but we use this press only for straight jobs. we don't do perfecting on it and also no paper printing on this press...just board over 250 gsm. luckily i have a guy with me who has some experience in doing some repair works, but he has no experience with pincer bars.

The pincer bar still has to transfer the sheet, straight printing or perfecting. Its not an easy job even for the experienced. If you dont have the proper tools, you dont know the correct settings and you dont have the experience just sounds like a bad combination to me. But, I wish you all the luck in the world.

exheidmech and LLS Northwest UK are trying to save you some potential financial misery.

As they say..."Timing is everything" and that is an understatement when working with the perfector. Special tools are required as mentioned earlier and even if by some means you were to come across the tools, there is plenty of knowledge needed to work with them. Serious damage to the press can result from incorrect settings.

This is most definetly a job that is left to technicians who have experience with the perfector.

It made me go cold just going into perfect by following the sequence manually let alone try to repair the thing, mind you things got a lot better when they automated the sequence.

Defo have a reputable engineer repair it.

You need to get your hands on a degree wheel and a zero guage. Without that there is no way to set the timing.
