SM 52 - 4 P perfector issue

Hi there, we have just installed a used SM 52 - 4 with perfecting, the machine is age 1996. When we go through the changeover from straight to perfecting, every mechanical part is doing as it should but at the end of the sequence, the machine just goes back to straight?? No errors show on the console, it simply doesn't stay in perfecting. Any ideas?

 

I had this once before and it turned out to be when the segments on the reversing cylinder change position to the perfecting cams it activates a switch via a flag on the cylinder on the operator side which ligns up to a spring loaded mechanism inside the operator guard. This was jamming and not activating the switch. Just simply sprayed it and worked it by hand to make sure it was working correctly. Make sure you turn the press off before working it manually and remember its position and put it back where it was.
