    Hi Guys

I have taken over the running of a small set-up in Qatar. Our SM 74 5 P3 as been standing apparently for 3 months & is showing an oil fault(m/c will not run) The oil level is fine so therefore it points to the filter. Can the filter be cleaned or must it be replaced & if so will this clear the error, or must this be cleared manually in the CP-Tronic.

Its been a few years since I ran any Heidelberg kit so I'm a little rusty.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Uploading photos is easy
just click on "Go Advanced" button below right corner of the quick reply box. then you'll get another page. then click on the paper clip icon next to the smiles icon.
then you'll get another browser window.

then click on add files in the upper right corner.. click brows and select the photo. finally click upload..

That icon is showing that the perfector hydraulic intensifier is reading low fluid condition.

    junker1984may be correct

if that's the case, check whether the yellow LED of the sensor mounted on the large cylinder of the intensifier is lit all the time.
if so, take off the allen screw in front of the cylinder box and push the cylinder shaft to the end (use the allen key) with the machine power off.

then take off the allen screw on top of the unit (next to the oil outlet hose) then fill oil carefully (make sure to fill oil without air bubbles). and then put the screw back in and you're done

and post a hi res photo of whole screen, then it'll be easier to say something

Be cautious of replenishing oil in intensifier...it's not simply "filling it" that is the solution.

Can you please confirm the location of the intensifier..is it by the perfector unit and do I need to remove any side covers to gain access and do I need to use a specialised hydraulic fluid or will a normal fluid suffice as supplies are difficult to obtain in Qatar

    Thanks for your help

Normally the intensifier is located under the catwalk in operator's side. It's a unit with big aluminum cylinder with black hose coming out. And a orange color wire and air supply is also there.

If you don't have the experience, I suggest that to leave for a technician who is experienced enough. If you try it out yourself, please do at your own risk

    Cheers.
