    Hello all,

We are running in to some troubles with our Printmaster QM46-2. We keep getting feeder trips even though we run an envelope feeder. We have pretty much ruled out envelope feeder problems and are now troubleshooting the infeed on the press. Currently using #10 window envelopes and we noticed that when we crawl the press around, the suction cups seem to release the envelope right before it gets to the infeed draw wheels. Does this seem normal? If we are crawling the press, it will not feed an envelope through the press since it drops it right before it gets to the wheels. When we speed up, the problem is minimized and we can at least run... But eventually it will give us a trip and we were wondering if it might be connected to it not getting in to the wheels. Have any of you experienced a simliar problem or have any feedback for this??? Thanks in advance,

    -K

The QM46 doesn't really allow you to crawl sheets through the press. When the press trips off what is the error? Are the sheets late? This is happening at what speed? Usually if you have an issue when running above 6000, it could be a dirty 3/2way valve. To help confirm the feeder settings are ok, go back to 20lb w/press at 5000 and check feeder timing with buckel adj at zero. Zero = turn knob all the way CW, then back out CCW 7 turns (scale might be off a little but this is zero) SF68 is sheet arrival timing/ Depending on the press software it will either display in degrees (320.8 ect or it has a scale l - l ) degree should be 320.8 +/- .3* , dash should be in the center or jumping in and out of center.
