have you tried a known paper of high quality? If so have you actually measured the blanket and packing or are you just going with whats stamped on the blanket? Im a firm believer in measuring rolling height with a packing guage. A packing gauge if your not familiar will allow you to check your plate and blanket heights without removing from cylinders. It will give you on the spot info that will prove invaluable. If after actual confirmation of rolling height proves correct then I would say you need to look at grippers and transfers. One half of a millimeter on a small press such as a GTO is alot!

Check runout of all 3 cylinders on the cyan unit with magnetic base and dial indicator. Runout should be no more that .02mm

There are plenty of videos on proper use of a dial indicator with a magnetic base. What you are looking for is the runout on the cylinder surface and bearers. As said before you should see no more than .02mm (less than .001 of an inch) of runout, ideally you want zero runout. I will usually measure each bearer and also 3 points on the cylinder surface. Inch the machine from lead to tail while watching the dial indicator.

you are going to measure on 5 points on the cylinder total. 1 on each bearer, this will tell you if the journals are bent. 3 on the cylinder surface, 1 in the center which will tell you if the cylinder itself is caved in and then one on each side closest to the bearer and these will tell you if the cylinder body itself has been pushed out of center.
