Out of nowhere, we have a problem from the impression cylinder to gripper on 2 out of 3 bars. The press ran fine the other day and now it keeps dropping sheets. Checked all of the obvious - gripper finger tension etc. Can't see inside where the bad stuff is happening. Anyone have any thoughts?

Hi Bill,
I have got the same problems not a long time ago. I called up for a mechanician specialized in Kord machines. The problem was coming from the front lays and also with one set of delivery grippers. He adjusted the amount that the front lays must take the paper or stock and also the grippers and its now running fine.

I don't know the KORD. On other press I ran. The timing of opening and closing of the gripper bar was.

We had a mechanic who had his own jig built to set the opening and closing of the grippers. Problem solved with the right tools and a brain.

we had a paper dropping problem on our kord. turned out to be a rollpin in the delivery chain gear broke and the gear was moving back and forth on the shaft. this is the one up and under next to the impression cylender. good luck
