recently bought a KORD 64 short box machine and having a register problem
on front lay. this problem only comes when printing at speed 4250 imph. or higher and the paper which i am using for this job is 80gsm uncoated A4 in size.

below this speed there is no big registration problem noticed.

can anybody help me out or share some tips to properly set the feeder for high speed printing with pinpoint registration.

    awaiting for some help.

    Thanks

make sure your in feed grippers are all even and gripping the same . same again with your impression cylinder grippers if either are badly worn then you will loose grip at speed

Thank you so much for your reply LLS.

actually i bought this machine 3 months back after a full service... they have replaced every grippers and pads.
i checked the 4 in-feed gripers on the feed board. they seems to be ok.. but still couldn't check the impression cylinder ones.

have one thing to clarify..... i am using small two brushes as sheet brakes at the tail edge of the sheet every time.
without those brushes couldn't even think of a good registration at all..... But i have seen many KORD minders
print super register jobs without any single brush at high speed......do i missing something....is this giving any clue of something faulty on this machine or is this normal...

if the sheet is getting pulled to far in it will get kicked back by the frontlays try putting it on maximum grip and see if it is better if it is thats the problem

    Dear LLS,

i have no idea of adjusting the Feed Board Gripper Bite(in-feed gripers)....i tried several times...but couldn't find the location to adjust that setting.
if you could help me on this.....it will be a great Help Mate....

A common error is to use all the head stops, if they are not PURFECT and straight you will get out of postion prints. So to solve this only use two head stops, start with them in the middle so you have fine tuning adjustment, and back all the others away. Which two you ask, divide the sheet into four and go with the head stops that are at the first and last quarter, good luck.

    FSA,

Thanks you soo much for your Tip......i am already using only two front lay stops.. others are away from the front.....but i noticed one stop is placed
to the far edge of the sheet.... not in the quarter position as you mentioned....i'll try to correct that setting and give it a go...
