I am having a Problem recently that I can't figure out, About 4 weeks ago, I put new water pan rollers in the Press, Every Since I have had a problem with ink building up on the pan rollers. This is on a 6 Color Heidelberg C.D. 40" The Chrome rollers are in good shape and don't seem to be carrying any ink, What could be causing this? I clean them and within a job the ink has built up alot again. Any suggestions?

Look near the water pan lock bolts and you will see two #10 bolts (operator and gear sides), loosen those and pull the pan towards you. This will the move the pan away from the pan roller and away from the Vario roller which the pan is most likely rubbing on. Re-tighten the bolts. Grab a piece of thick board stock and stick it behind the pan and Vario roller and feel that it slides from one end to the other without binding. Also check that the rubber insulation has not separated from the pan.

    Dear sir
I've faced this problem, but the ink was built up on both metering and pan rollers.
This is because the metering rollers missed their sensitivity.
I solved the problem by using a liquid that can give these rollers the sensitivity again. It's from ABC company called CRD.
This is better than changing your expensive metering rollers!
But this is a temporary action that you can use.
    Give us a feedback please.
    Regards.

Good call Grant except that I think the bolts you refer to are actually 13mm. Its an easy to make mistake to re install the water pan and push it all the way forward in the notch.

I'll second that; learnt the hard way. Always pull pan tray towards yourself then tighten those 13's. Good advice grant
