    Hi

I am currently having an issue where i can run a job through on the operators side lay, but as soon as i swap lays to the drive side it will not feed a sheet.
Have checked if there is any crap in the way all seems as normal.
The only thing that doesnt look right is the guide plate seems loose. Could this be causing it? if so how do i resolve this.

Will be greatful for any help and advice

    Kind Regards
    Ian

    Update

Just to add to the problem.
We was still getting the problem and decided to see if a thicker stock would make a difference, we was trying to run 115gsm, changed it to 170gsm and that run fine.
We re-calibrated it to the 115gsm and is running fine.
Could this be a sensor issue?

    "the guide plate seems loose"
Yes it can. does the plate have 2 or 3 grub screws holding it in position? (Should have 3) plus you can adjust the plate and tighten it up)
Are you getting an overshoot, double sheet what error displays when on the drive side?

"Could it be a Sensor Issues"
Yes too, you could remove the small cover plate covering the sensor on the drive side lay and clean the area out, which can have small paper jammed or even paper dust build up causing the sensor to incorrectly read paper thickness. :)

Its showing a late sheet because the sheet is twisting before it hits the lay on the drive side (seems as if the suction on the side lay is too high). Turning the suction down cures the problem. But then the suction setting for drive side is not enough when running on operator side.

we have same problem on our XL75, the sheet that is getting pulled over on drive side seems to affect next sheet coming down, the thinner the stock the worse it is. Did you cure your issue, (I know its been a while). We are sticking paper smoothers to feed board thinking the sheets are catching somewhere.
    Regards
    Dave.

Increase the suction on suction belt. Good idea to "de-glaze" belt also....whilst at idling speed, feeder on, wipe belt with alcohol soaked rag.

the suction plate near the side lay that pulls the sheet across can become clogged with spray and paper dust
can cause all sorts of feeding issues
