Nova, what specifically interests you about the TOK? Prices are cheap to setup with one, but they're a pretty low-end press in terms of today's automation and small sheet sizes, at least for us jobs... What kind of jobs are you looking at printing on a TOK?

It's not really designed as a 4 colour process machine due to its lack of front and side lays, but there is nothing stopping you doing multi colour work that does not involve tight register.
I take it this is what you where asking for from your question.

    Regards.

Ok, i have done my first process job on the Tok, to be honest, its come out not bad, i can pass it off as part of the budget print i offer, i think i will try the gloss stock where i did it only on 80 copier paper, i would imagine it would be a lot better on 135g gloss.

I will try and do full colour on the Itek 3302 AKA Ryobi 3302 on Monday.

    So any tips on this...?

    Hi,

This has got me interested. I normally run a GTO and I've only ever heard negative comments about the TOK and to be honest I'd never even seen one until recently!

I've just seen several videos on youtube and it looks like the same basic press as the QM46/Printmaster/whatever they now call it ... am I right?

I'd be keen to hear from anyone who uses a TOK regularly and knows about them ... what sort of register mechanism do they have? How many forme rollers? What sort of image position adjustments are there? How many rollers in the fountain? What sort of dampening system? What sort of wash-up system?

The feed/sucker system looks similar to the old AB Dick 9810 - which I always thought was almost too excellent when I used to use one (I did a lot of NCR jobs and would put all the different stocks in the press at once, with a piece of greyboard between as a marker and I could check the numbers before setting it running again. However, the machine often would feed, print and deliver the greyboard and carry on as if it hadn't been there!)

Depending on how well everyone on here that has actually used a TOK (especially if they have experience of running other portrait small format machines), I think I might be able to put a TOK to good use.

    Cheers everyone.

    hi,

I'm Atique.....i have a tok machine and i'm trying to run this machine,it works but any one can suggest me how to change the Speed Revolutions control. because the machine is running on Revolutions N1 which means the speed is fixed to 800-1200 i.p.h. i am studying the user manual but i have not found the solution yet.
