We are having a problem with the image control unit for a 10 color 40" press. The unit was manufactured in 2002. When the computer boots up at one point it says hasso power fail in the lower left corner. It won't initialize. Any info regarding what this means or how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

Send a picture of the screen while it is initializing.

    Try this:

Hasso power fail is a an error with the UPS. The customer probably had his uninterruptible power supply die and chose not to replace it. We can have a tech disable it but it would be best to replace the UPS.

In the interim the customer may be able to do this.
When the Hasso powerfail comes up the PC is automatically shut down, to stop this you can use alt-cntrl-delete and end task.

    To Disable the Hasso
    1. Sign on as administrator ( password : mibadm )
    2. Go to explorer and find the file Hasso.ini
    3. In the command line Run Mode : 0 = Normal no dialog box 1= Testmode with dialog box
    4. Once you have the dialog box in the display you can switch off the Hasso
    5. You can also disable Hasso via task manager
