We currently have a Heidelberg Topsetter 74 plate outputter. Just two days ago a warning appeared which said "Exposure Head Error - A command was sent to the exposure head but no answer was returned". This problem got progressively worse and we are now unable to output SM52 plates. I have to add here that we are still able to output other sizes of plate and that this problem is confined to SM52 plates. An engineer attended and was unable to narrow down the problem and we now face the expense of replacing ever more expensive parts until the problem is resolved. If anyone has experienced this problem before I would most definitely welcome their advice. Many thanks.

    Hi Paul,

    Thank you...

I have a Toko small offset machine.

It has been running good for past 10 years. I bought it pre owned from Auz.

    1. streaks of bearing marks appear on printed sheet starting from the middle of the sheet.

    2. The Normal inks have started accumulataing on the damper rollers, resulting in poor inkflow.

    3. The machine began to run in stagger. that is the speed would vary from 5,000 to 3,000 aproximately, I could make out by visual observation and sound.

I tried to solve the problem by
    1. checking and replacing carbon brushes.
    2. Rechecking the control cabinet boards, All are showing the green led's properly, got the boards, rechecked by electornic engineer, (not heidelberg ofcourse) everything seems to work.
    3. finally I checked the motor and motor brake machinism.

result : the brake machinism has two screws that can be adjusted to operate the lever. I loostened them. The motor runs continuously for 5-10 seconds at higher speed, 9,000 and stops immediately, but the counter reduces from 4,500 or 5,500 and stops at 55 after the machine has stopped.

Can you help : kindly email to sunprints_india@yahoo.co.in

    Thanking you,

    with warm regards,

    Hi Paul,

    I have a Speedmaster CD102 with the CP2000 centre.
We have been unsuccessfully trying to get a sheet count reading from varying parts of the press to connect to an external program via a relay for both good sheets and also total sheets.

The correct count somehow gets to the CP2000 console for both these counts.

Do you, or anyone know how to either tap into this counter, or what outputs on the press send this information, that again I can tap in to.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Andrew.

    hi there.

i have a heidelberg kors. just yesterday. when i was running a full color job. i noticed an uneven distribution of ink on the upper portion of the poster im printing. could anyone tell me the cause of the problem.

to further elaborate. the uneven print looks all the same from the first copy to the 500th copy of the poster im printing. i replaced it with a new blanket.
ive swaped those swappable rollers underneath. but the output are all the same.

also does anyone here have a operation and service manual. for my heidelberg kors and kord. we bought it second hand. and it doesnt come with a manual.

    thanks

Hi, I am from the Philippines. We have a CD102-6 with CP2000. Recently there is a warning of carbon brush on the cp2000, which we replaced all the carbon brushes but the warning remains. Is there a procedure or way to reset this warning? Please help.

    Hi,
I am in the process of buying a used Heidelberg GTO52 to start a small printing press in kenya, ideally i would prefer either a 2 color or 1 color depending on my budget which i might say isn't much. What your advice on buying used equipment particularly in UK. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for your prompt response. I am looking to spend on average around $15,000 for the 2 color. Could we communicate henceforth on my personal email moha.augab@gmail.com
    Thanx.
