Hi, been having a small problem on my 2-col GTO 52 recently. Its very sporadic and seems to happen for no reason and then just goes away.

When i'm printing and press either of the "stop production buttons" it trips the feeder but the press stays in impression. if i leave go the sheets start feeding again and i have to press the emergency stop button.
sometimes it'll trip the feeder and then trip the impression after 4-5 impressions.
it just happens every now and again, more so after starting the machine after a shutdown.
    Any thoughts???

is it doing it on both units ? check the big siemans switch thats located under the feeder mark the back plate and the switch with some tipex so that you can adjust it to try it and be able to put the switch back to position if needed. now undo the two screwdriver screws and move the switch up slightly that should cure the problem.

Hello again. Had the same problem again this morning. it seems to happen after a shutdown more than any other time.
i moved the switch up as you suggested, but then the paper wouldnt feed when i pressed the production button.
so i have moved it back to the original position. same problem, im hoping it will sort itself over the morning but i could do without the hassle today.
    any thoughts?

KGM - Often times the center of the plastic roller becomes oval and no amount of adjustment of the switch body will bring back the consistent swithch action, likewise the axle of the pivoting lever will cause the same issues (possibly a combination of both). You may have to try a new switch or talk to your Siemens dealer, you can often get a new roller lever assembly for a fraction of the cost of a new switch complete. Good Luck, Steve

Thanks Steve. Its back working again, 2 hours after i started printing. i just cant explain it. the press isnt used much, maybe 2 days per week, and it was 2 degrees celsius this morning. im not sure if those factors will contribute but the problem seems to go away after a few hours work.
its just annoying having to clean the back cylinder every time i stop the press.

    thanks for your help.

KGM It has multiple contacts, it starts the impression sequencing and contains the wires for the sheet count pulse among other things ( would have to look up in schematics to give you full explanation of all functions) .
