Hello there is an issue with the registration between unit I and II -GTO 4 col with perfector-. I run KCMY configuration and noticed that KC is in register without any kind of movement but when i tried MY alone i saw movement one sheet forward and one backwards of marks. What could be the issue?

Most likely the grippers or cam follower. check the condition of the cam followers after printing unit 2, my guess is you will find a bad one. Grippers may also be the issue. GTO has urithane grippers. Make sure all grippers still have this coating on the underside of the gripper, especially the impression and first transfers. Does the machine have a perfector?

Where is the cam follower located? As mentioned the machine has perfector could there be something wrong with timing of cams or somesuch, also strange thing is after blanket wash for 50 or more sheets all is in order.

Because you mention the fact that after 50 sheets or a blanket wash all seems in order, it sounds like Exheid's suggestion that it may be impression or 1st transfer cylinder follower problem at unit 3. Both followers are on op side of gripper bar. You may not notice any rust or scoring of surface, as in early stages of failure they just become loose. You'll have to lift them off of the cam to inspect. Because you ask "where is the cam follower", I'd suggest getting someone skilled in there to assess the issue. Good luck, Mantman!

Sorry, I failed to see the perfector in your description. My guess is still the grippers or cam follower especially if all is good after a blanket wash. Still the perfector is worth taking a look at as well since that is where you are seeing the movement. As Junker noted above, this needs to be done by someone with GTO experience.

I used WD40 on grippers of big transfer drum from I to II but it occured to me that i tampered with plate clamping bars, cause our ctp was 2mm off parallel register and had to move bars to original position, and i noticed that the screws where not tight in the front clamping bar. After tightening and hanging plates all was perfect :)
Thank you for your assistance much appreciated!
