Alcolor is the trade mark of Heidelberg's dampening system, Komori and others have a different name but it's essentially the same system.

Thats correct. The 72 has an Alcolor system with what I'm pretty sure has a Royce system that will introduce alcohol to your fountain solution.

Alcohol dampening is in reference to your fountain solution pumps being able to dose alcohol into your fountain solution.
De-curler is a vacuum system integrated in the delivery to remove curl in sheet.
Grafix Exactomat Powder Spray is the anti-offset powder sprayer. Sprays powder onto printed sheet to prevent offset from sheet to sheet.

Alcolor is the genuine heidelberg alcohol damping system.it is refrigerated and electronically controlled with speed compensated motors to ensure consistent damping quality.it also has a small rilsan roller(z-roller) which links the first ink forme roller to the damping system..it is also electro-pneumatically activated mechanism for applying the rollers to the plate too.
Presses equipped with normal alcohol damping are often old molleton damping presses which have the chrome damping roller "matt chrome finished" to transfer the alcohol solution to a rubber damping forme roller (bareback).they usually have a royse or baldwin recirculation system fitted to the old damping troughs which are insulated with foam/rubber.this is the cheap alternative to alcolor..
As for the decurler and grafix spray..the previous post explained everything you needed..thanks..paul.

be aware that many early speedmasters were either retrofitted or perhaps even came from the factory with dahlgren dampening systems. This too would be considered alcohol dampening but would NOT be an alcolor system. They performed reasonably well, and i would prefer it over conventional dampening but id much prefer an alcolor system.
