Hi can anyone help.my sm72f has started beeping around 4000-iph.the 2 oil circuits(ops/drive side) are pressurised on the display.there is another pump for the chains which lights a led on the grease distributor on the delivery.i am concerned that something may be wrong somewhere.the machine has a tank under the footboard which has had a new oil-filter fitted.any help is much appreciated.

PD - Are either of the actual counts higher than the preset counts, meaning the number on the right is say, 40,000 and the number on the left is over that? If so, the oil pump (press oil lube) or the grease pump (delivery flow grease lube) aren't reaching proper pressure. The left side of the lubrication screen is for the press oiling, the right side of the screen is the delivery flow grease (chain lube set to lube more often than jogger lube). Fine particulate filter has been changed, as you state, but is the pick-up screen at the bottom of the resevoir blocked? If you reset the press (turn off and on), does the alarm still sound right away? When the alarm is sounding, look at the lube screen in the service display and see if either of the pumps are flashing, indicating where the problem lies. Good Luck

Both the circular and central lubrication are pressurised to their set levels.when ever the press is run over 4000 sheets per hour the bleeping starts? The oil is full but i think there is not a level sensor in the tank.. The grease pump is full.the grease pump has a impellor that presses the grease down to a cam operated pump which then goes to a block with pipes on and a sensor which flashes when pumping.the grease emerges out of both sides of the chains...i dont know if there are any sensors in the gease pump itself for level/pressure.

ive seen infared heaters with poor shielding dry out the grease in the lines and make it so it wont flow to the delivery chains. try disconnecting the line at the chain rails and leave it hang clear of the grippers for a couple of days to see if it pumps grease.

There is no level sensor in the resevoir, sight glass serves that purpose. Pressure switches mounted under the register plate, printing unit #1 side frame OS and GS (OS for circular lube and GS for central lube). If it was an oiling pressure issue at either central or circular lube cycle, you'd see it at the lube screen in service display, as well as delivery greasing issue. I've normally seen an oiling error initiate the warning the moment the feeder is engaged. Are you sure you're not having a problem with one of the water pan sensors, which would also set off the alarm? Does the yellow light come on for water/pneumatic errors or does the oil level light for the press or compressor come on?
