cp tronic + cpc on same console?

on some multi color h'bergs there will be both cp tronic and cpc displays
side by side on same console. cp tronic will basicaly perform all functions
except ink key zones and remote control. as far as i know cpc with the zid display performs everything that cp tronic can and also ink zones.! remotely. what they call "classic centre".

question: why the need for both displays when the zid can perform all tasks
    or am i missing something?

Cheers to the h'berg guru's out there..

You mean "the classic center" is the orange color plasma display or the color display (cp2000)?
The plasma display comes with cpc only with 1.04. As far as I know the plasma display in CPTronic can only control the machine functions. (In some machines without CPC, the CPTronic can control the register, but machines with cpc, it can only be done via cpc. )

In my experience, both displays are needed.

    hi nimesh.

cp 2000 is entirely different as its touch screen interface.
i guess what i was trying to say is if you look at the command buttons
across the top "data transfer, job prep' job positioning. As well as
global ' printing unit . etc. even the group buttons such as basic. service etc etc. all of these are found on the display of both the "classic centre" and the "cp tronic display" if after the printer has set the job prep and positioning
in cptronic does he then do evrything else on cpc display zid. ? for the rest of the time completing the job at hand. having not come across these older units before its a little strange to see two displays
    with duplicated function buttons.

    cheers all...

    HI,
The cpc is an entirely different system than CPTronic. The best way to understand is you get the both user's manuals and go through them. I don't think that we use full capabilities of the cpc,
Shall I tell you a basic difference?, you can't make the machine run via cpc, it can only be done via CPTronic. :-D ;-)
