I am new to CP2000 type presses, we want to print IPA free on a CD102 equipped with CP2000. Do we need to change the settings on CP2000 in PRINTING METHOD MENU to ALCOHOL Free or not?

The only possible reason I could see for needing to change it on the cp2000 menu would be if the setting was somehow linked to the Characteristic Curves. There might be some kind of link that would compensate in characteristic curves for the diluting effect Isopropanol has on ink density.
The question I must ask is this..... Is it required that you print alcohol free? If given a choice I would keep the alcohol. Even after over 20 years of fountain solution evolution, offset printing WITH alcohol is IMO much more problem free.

Recently I have joined a consumable supplier and my assignment is to do conversion at their clients presses from IPA to IPA free. I am also not in much favor of the IPA free printing but this what my job requires.:(
