CIP 3 problem

2001 6c Speedmaster 102 can't receive CIP 3 info from pre-press. Traced the cable to the press and have a good signal. When the RJ 45 cable is plugged into another computer the signal is received but when it's plugged into the press we don't get the CIP 3 info. Any ideas? How is the Ethernet card checked ?

 

test the rj45 with miss-wired or not seated correctly
to due poor job making cable
look for corroded.
or replace with a Good one too.
For to test the card please be sure the cable is fine
the card can be a good , try to replace the cable with a new one
or someone that you know is good.
Finally test the driver (firmware) for to see if good or corrupted
