Auto Register

Does anyone have any experience with Auto Register I need information cause we have the Auto Register equipment on the press but we don't have the software and i don't know is it worth to buy it.We run 5 color xl105.Аppreciate any advice

 

as good as auto register sounds im thinking that it just doest get much easier than a well calibrated ctp system and accurate plate hanging on the part of your press crew. the time required to register a multicolor job these days is insignificant and easily gets lost in the couple of pulls it takes to get color. Id say that unless its a very affordable upgrade its really not worth it and will not save you much time. Fitting a job in 2 pulls as opposed to 3 pulls doesnt sound like much of a savings. Im thinking that the autoregister feature needs to read register targets, and we all know that at times fit compromises need to be made that require us to run a little off the marks anyways.

 

I dont know much about all this fancy auto register and all that but, to be honest we have a 14 yr old press with semi apc and i can get it in register within 2 pulls, so on a brand new xl this is around the level it should take, which i personally wouldnt have any issue with at all, as it takes alot longer to get colour than fit, sounds like something nice to have if its available but i wouldnt spend excess cash on it
