Hello everyone , couple of days ago i bought QM46-2 , and by accident i pressed two times plate ejection button while beeing in process of plate ejection. The cyilinder stopped and it didnt eject the plate and the plate ejection error started shining. I tryied to take plate manualy but i can open only front clamp, the back flap doesent want to open? it is firmly holding the plate , please help ?

i even tried to rotate plate cylinders manualy into position for ejection but the ejection error lamp keeps blinking... :(

I am sure you mean the front clamp won't open! The tail clamp is spring loaded. There are a few steps to check. If you like give me a call, I am sure you will be fine in less than 5min. Stan Intermountain Press Service 720-285-9485
P.S. I have numerous used parts avail for your press

Well guys i just tried to print with my press , saturday night in my shop ... not bad, just 2 little problems i'm having so if seone can help i'd apreciate a lot...

    1. my upper printing unit is printing great , perfect color coverage, but the lower printing unit covers the whole paper with ink? i opened the upper door to se the cyilinder and it totaly covered with ink, why is that happening?

    2. I bought some "SOLSTAR" for autowash , and i press the button for autowash and i does 20 rotations and then 30 , and it takes about 1 minute, after that it stops , but the rollers are still dirty, hm ? first i tried with 90% water 10% solstar, then i tried 90%solstar and 10% water , still dirty.

any tips? i'm skratching my head ...

my first thought is that you dont have the washup tray mounted correctly.

You mentioned autowash? It sounds like you pushed button for the blanket wash wash unit! the 20 rotations was the blanket wash up unit engauged, then the 30 rotations was the drying. Use straight wash in the blanket wash unit. The faster drying the better because it uses evaporation for drying. If PU-2 is printing ok, I would say your fountain solution is working and you just have a roller issue in PU-1. Deep clean the rollers, check the damp roller bearings and stripes. Water form to water pan, with the controll knob on 6 should be a 2mm stripe. Then turn knob to 1 and stripe should increase evenly to 6mm-8mm. Blue damp dist roller to form roller 2mm-3mm. Dampening roller to pan roller 3mm. Water form to plate 3.5mm

Oh yes , thanks also beeing a new in this i didnt put fountains with blades in the mashine , now i figured out how to do it , thankx STW100...

*Ooopsss* - the guy that sold me the mashine didnt give me the dampering plate where the dampering liquid goes, i called him yesterday because i saw that part missing. So i was practicaly printing without dampering, that was a problem, the color was too sticky. i am waiting for the part to arrive so i'll send you feedback ...

Hello everyone , i managed to do 4 color work , not easy but i did it! There is although one problem , one print technitian came and saw the print and he said that i need to adjust the paper thickness because the plates dont press the paper enough and the color tones have some kind of flakes...
My question is , how do i adjust paper thickness? thanks in advance ...
