God NO!!! You might want to look at the market you are targeting. In recent times every man and his dog is jumping into this market and under cutting each other to the point of no profit.

Find neesh in the market, expand the current products currently being produced.

    earth-friendly, artistic and durable?

Do you know anything about earth-friendly dye sub printers, dyes, and papers? I'm trying to "green" my business, but I still want excellent rendition of photographs, and archival quality (200+ years with proper storage/display).

I have a hard time thinking of dye sub printers as earth friendly due to all the waste in the carrier involved -- for every inch of print area, coverage or not, you have 4x that much area in donor plastic material being discarded. Great quality and gloss, but a lot of discarded material.
