Thread: Quickmaster DI classic reference?

I'm Sorry, my english isn't very well. But i try.
We want buy a second hand Quickmaster Di classic from 1997. 9.5 M. impression. Are there any problems with this kind of machine? Laser etc.? How is it to handle, what's about the print-quality? I hope someone can help me! Greetings from Bavaria!

i think that for market value of this press (cheapest 4-color second-hand offset press) - it is still good choice.
I have Classic 1997, now with over 24 mil. impressions and still running well.
When i was buy it has 13,5 mil impressions. Until now i haven't any big problems with press. I did not change any diode until now (but will soon). Print quality is good but this is very relative because depend of many things. Definitely this press haven't "Speedmaster" (or similar) print-quality. Some jobs on this press you can do very easy but some jobs are allmost "night mare". Most important to me is that my customers are satisfacted and this press can help me that i do that easy, fast and profitable. Press is easy to operate and if all devices function properly you can print many jobs in short time. This is great press for 500 - 5000 sheets volume but it will also print 30000 or more (my bigest run was 180000 sheets, 90gr, 4/1). Some things on this press may be irritable but if you want better press you must pay more (much, much more).
All of this what i wrote is based on my 5-year printing experience and is my opinion. Many people have not good words for this (kind of) press but i still like this press and working on it every day.
I am sure that in Germany are many QM's. Try to find some "druckerei" where you can go to see how it works.

I was buy my QM DI in Gunzenhausen, i think that this is near you.
