When I start up in the morning and turn the computer on the press 34DI the screen tells me low battery voltage press F1 to continue, can anyone tell me where the heck is the battery in the operating stand, Not really sure what im looking for. Nothing looks like a battery there is a tower type unit next to the computer that has a led light that says it is ON but not sure. Looked in the manual and it does not say anything about battery.
any help would greatly be appreciated

    thanks

    ron

Is the computer telling you to replace its CMOS battery? (watch type battery on motherboard that saves settings when power to computer is off)

yes the computer is telling me battery voltage low, so it is inside the computer and it is like the little round type battery's?

    Ron,
Unplug power cord to computer tower, remove side panel. Look on mother board (where CPU and fan is mounted), find dime size flat battery. Copy the part # down and get one at electronics store, Radio Shack, etc, about $5. Remove old battery by gently prying up one side with non-conductive screwdriver and insert new battery noting the polarity of old battery (+ or -) side up or down. Reinstall side cover, plug in power cord, and boot up computer. The date must be reinstalled as this is usually lost when battery is removed.
