We had been getting a stripes on our yellow plate) uning the entire length of the plate) that has been not imagining. We came to the conclusion that there was dirt/ink on the laser lens of the yellow head and we washed the lens according to the manuals and most of these non imaging stripes have disappeard. But one remains. It is very hard to see the lens on the yellow head s so I stuck my mobile phone in a videoed it and there on the lens is hardened magenta ink. I have been dabbing with alcolol and water - but it is very dirty and very hard ink

Can I use a stronger solvent or is there an easier way to access this lens to clean it

I do not recommend a stronger solvent as the lens on the DI has an seven layer optical coating lens as found on an SLR camera. A stronger solvent may actually go through one of the layers causing a focus issue.

In the past I have lightly wiped my finger over the lens to feel those exact dried ink spots you mentioned. You can take your finger nail and lighly pick it off. Ususally they come right off. Then you can go back over it with alcohol and water.
