diode not imaging

Hey all. Zone 16 of the cyan unit has suddenly stopped imaging. I swapped diodes but still nothing. Any thoughts? Thanks

 

How did you swap diodes? Did you swap 15 and 16? If so, did 16 work on 15? If it did, that means there is a spec of dry ink or dirt on the lens of 16.

If you just swapped the plug connections and left the diodes in place and 16 still did not work the diode is bad. If 15 did not work and 16 did there is a problem with laser drive module.

 

Hey Paul. I actually swapped with a diode from another qmdi pro that was working fine on that press.

 

Are both the machines a Pro? The Pro used a different diode on some of the models, I am not sure, but I do not think the Pro Spot diode was compatible with the Classic or Plus.

 

Yes they are both pros and i have used diodes from that press in the past and they have worked fine

 

sounds like a Laser driver module. We have one if you need it
