    re toning

add body compound to ink , how are your plastic osilator cams are they worn. are your blankets over packed? back off pressure. i dont use the specs for roller settings hberg tells you, i go 1/2 to 1 mm less to the plate. is your press cold enough? i use superior ink. is your room hot? ink in the fountains tend to brake down if the room is warm. maintain 72 or under in the room.

Do you have an IR dryer at the delivery end? could be the problem, also after washing the blankets to you allow enough time for them to dry out before running? I've had toning problems on my 4th units for years and these have been the problem. I have since turned down my IR temp from 7.5 to 5 (from 1–10) and I give the blankets about 2–3 minutes at press idle speed before trying to run. Toning occurs more in the afternoon than morning as the press and room temp heats up.
