Heidelberg DI Press 52CM DI presses

Hi good people - We are looking at DI presses and need a 52cm press for our specific needs for music & dvd packaging. I know there is the presstek 52DI and the KBA 52 genius. Not sure how old the genius is? how do these two presses stack up against each other? I have emailed presstek quite a few times requesting price information on the 52DI but they, um err are a little too busy to reply to sales inquiries. Also is it a little too early for the presstek 52DI to turn up on second hand markets?? Cant seem to find used anywhere. thanks! cb.

Might want to check out the 74Karat
http://www.kba-print.de/en/produkte2...3/74karat.html
(note the bottom paragraph, it uses the Presstek plates)

I run a 34DI but have heard that there was recently over 300 orders for the 52DI at the last Print Show in Chicago to be delivered in North America.

I've seen the Karat demo and run the Presstek 34Di and both have there niche.

Good luck

There are other 52 DI presses, but not new. The first DI press was a GTO 52DI from Heidelberg (1991 - 1995) there still a few of this presses running.

Another press you could have the Speedmaster 74 DI, this will be a A2 format, but can help you a lot with your production, and you could have 4 , 5 ,6 color plus coater.

Also there is the Adast DI also in A3 format 52,
