What thickness stock will this OKI CX3641 run in comparison to the Illumina though?

The heavy stock option is the only thing which sets the Illumina apart for me.

    The OKI specifies:
    Multi-purpose tray – 17 lb. bond–170 lb. index (64–307 gsm)

The Xante 650 GS now specifies:
Heavy card stocks up to 32 pt (650 gsm)

    The Xante GT specifies
    Card stock to 26 pt

One thing that might be interesting about the OKI is if there were a click program to make the cost per print lower and non-varying. The xante can be very expensive per print if coverage is anything but very light.

    Hi.
    The OKI specifies:
Multi-purpose tray – 17 lb. bond–170 lb. index (64–307 gsm) <<< This is correct and I should not vouch that it can go higher, but research shows that users do push it for heavier stock. I believe Xante just allows fuser to go hotter as I was not able to determine any physical differences between fusers out of both... Xante has a switch on the side for heavier paper - I have bought 1 xante machine just to play with it / satisfy my curiosity - if I will be able determine what that switch does and replicate it, I'd be able to turn any OKI in to Xante, well "Xante wanna be"

Can the OKI be cheaper to operate per print than the Xante?

Hi, my apologies for delay, Mr. XFactor. Well, generally yes - it should be a somewhat less expensive to operate OKI VS Xante due to company politics...
Xante uses same drums (except for the pins on the back to make these drums unfit to other similar printers), same toners (except chips), same transfer belt, etc. but had juiced-up the fuser to cook thicker media and just because of that and few minor details it is being presented as more robust machine. That being said - same components sold at higher price than OKI. I guess if person need not need to laser print on ceramic tile, brick, etc he/she might as well stick with original maker of this printer/engine - OKI.
