    Hi Motaz!

    There are different situations possible.

If the backgauge does not start after a cut I would check:
The switches at the foot pedal. S390 is not allowing the backgauge to start in case the foot pedal is used. Maybe the black plastic cam has to be adjusted.
The switch B29 (clamp in upper position) in case you use the function clamp optimization in level 1. You don’t know what it is? In this case let’s hope the setting is still in factory default. This would be level 2 and you never fell a broken switch B29. The proximity switch B29 is hidden inside the machine. Do you have a spare part book? It’s on page 10.00.
If the automatic function is switched off I would disconnect the air cushion valve at the blower. The coil inside the valve may cause trouble.

    Good luck

    hi cp

If there is a problem in it switch b29 and S390 .Can the machine to work in manual mode( normal mode)?
I think the setting off my polar is still in factory default .because the machine in normal mode works very well. not shows any error message
and the backguge it moves oky .but on automatic operation mode it shows problem.

I do not have spare part book

    many thanks

Yes – if S390 or B29 do not work correct manually cutting is fine and the backgauge movement will work as well as it should be.
Start with S390, the foot pedal switch

Where the location of black plastic?
What do you mean black plastic cam has to be adjusted?
    Where the location of S390?

    Hi motaz!

In the spare parts book on page 10.05 you have in the upper right area two switches (211098). These are S309 and S390. These switches are activated by the cams 270798.
If you push the foot pedal down both switches are no more activated. If the foot pedal is in its upper position both switches have to be activated by the cams.
    Good luck

The pictures you are sending are perfect. S309 and S390 are both 1. They should be 0. As a reaction you can see Y315 is activated as well. Every information in this screen should be NOT highlighted.

Maybe the foot pedal is mechanically not correct working. Maybe the return spring is not good or something broke off.

    Hi C p,
as far as I know there is no cutting counter on the Polar 78 ES (2001). How do I check how much the machine has been used? There is no service booklet, what is important when testing the machine? Thanks in advance.
