    Hi and greetings from finland!

I have problems with my old cutter Polar-Mohr 72CS. It's pretty old model, if I'm not wrong it has been made in 1977. I apologize if this problem is usual and it has been asked like thousand times but google or searching in this forum could not help me.

There is no help available in finland and I thought that international help is the only choise. Nothing seems to help and there has been multiple persons trying to fix the machine. Work is piling up as I speak and customers are getting nervous.

    The fault:

Blade won't come down. Previously the blade has had some issues but after pressing the buttons for few times in a row, it finally started working and cutting paper could start. But now it just tryes to do something but the blade stays up.

Service could not tell any specific fault what is causing this, local electric shop could not find the reason and I'm stuck. New cutter costs aprox. 4000 euros plus shipping and installation. And also, it will take days or even weeks. Customers will be mad.

    Hi kuqi!

You have some questions. The official service is done by Heidelberg.
    Heidelberg Finland Oy
    Tiilitie 8
    01720 Vantaa
They have service engineers and they help.
The alternative is a local electrician or a former Heidelberg engineer. But I am not able to help in this case, because I do not speak Finnish and this would make my search in the internet not very successful.
If I try to help we would need probably some days to find the problem. Every day I check may Email and I tell you may ideas. I will ask questions like: "Does the machine has a light barrier in front?" or "Does the clamp come down if you try to cut?", "if yes in which conditions are the carbon brushes at the flywheel?" and "Did somebody ceaned the collector rings with fine(!) sand paper?". Together with a local electrician we check and fix the machine. In this case I need the correct machine number which you can find on the name plate. As well I need an Email address to communicate with. The next question would be about the correct electrical drawings. Do you have the drawings?
At the end we will find the problem, but you have to consider the cost of the local electrician and the time you lose. Maybe Heidelberg is quicker. On the other hand you live in Europe and the problem you have is about the cut circuit. Confirm to the European law you are maybe in trouble if something happens and I have no chance to check you work via Email or this forum.

Which way you want to go?

    Best regards
