    Hi ,
I just unloaded and installed a Polar 115 em - 1989 , this comes with a monitor on top of the machine. After placing it we gave the power supply and switched the machine on.
And the main motor works the light comes on after awhile but that's about it. When I press the press I hear the noise of the hydraulic pump working.
The cards don't have any indicative lights on neither does the monitor come on or have a power supply.
I would really appreciate if some one could shed some light on how I should go about resolving this issue.
    regards,
    Charith

    Hi charith.
It's good to see a sri lankan guy in the forum.

Anyway, the first question I have to ask is "did you press the power button for the second time?"

Polar cutters starting procedure is like this.
After the red main switch is turned on, you have to press the green (or black) start button for the first time. Then the motor will start in star mode. after a few seconds, the main motor will change over to Delta. (The motor sound changes a bit and the work light comes on) then you have to press the green start button for the second time. Then it'll get the power and you might hear a series of beeps too. after a few seconds, the monitor should come on.

(Here, I assume that you've supplied the correct voltage to the machine. And all other conditions are normal. But if you still cannot start the machine, we'll proceed to the next step)

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Nimesh,
That worked! thank you. Its great to know that someone locally was able to help. Do you maintain and do repairs on guillotines?
    Thanks again.
    Regards,
    Charith
