Is Photoshop on OSX coded to utilize more than 2 GB of memory?

    Can photoshop on Mac OSX utilize more than 2 GB of RAM for a single instance of photoshop?

    Unfortunately, no. Photoshop is still stuck in a 2 GB world :(

    The soon upcoming Photoshop CS4 will be available in a 64-bit version for Windows Vista 64-bit that will allow huge amounts of RAM to be utilized for very large images, posters, panoramas, etc (but windows-only at this point, possibly the first time the windows version has been developed ahead of the mac version)

    With the 32-bit version you'll still see less than 2 GB used (unless the /3GB switch is flipped in the host windows OS - but I have not myself done that.)
