Hi, I have another (probably stupid) question, but I'm fairly new in this so bear with me. :)

Can pantone colors mix with others?

For example, if I have an image which I reduce to just two channels - in this case a pantone pink and black

Is this image still being printed as two colors or do all those other shades of pink count as a million different pantone colors?

I mean... are photographs printable in pantone color at all or is it just for clear graphics?

its still going to be 2 colors. the lighter pink in the pedals will be just screened back, while the darker pink in the center of the flower will most likely be a solid.

Ok thanks, that's what I wanted to hear! :)
It just confused me because pantone colours come in so many shades, I wasn't sure if they too get printed in different densities like CMYK or not.
