Default Decent Laser Printer?

I am looking for a laser printer. I have heard that you can do a lot of prints before having to replace the toner, which will save me money over an inkjet.
I noticed officemax had a nice deal on this printer:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16828112085
for 104.99.

Is there any better laser printer that I can get around this price maybe, up to $30 more? Also what do I have to look at when buying a laser printer? Also don't really need it to print a lot of pages, but I want one that does some good quality printing.
How would this hp compare?

The links in your post don't work for me.

Quality:
- is the finish quality of the fused toner matte (flat), semi-gloss, or really glossy? How does it look on the paper you'll want to print with, or are you flexible in your paper choices? For photos, is the gloss a flat look, a plastic-gloss look, a dry-gloss oil look, or a true wet gloss look? Does it match an available gloss paper to you nicely so you don't get gloss differential (if that's offensive to you, some people really hate it, others don't mind it, a few even try to get a gloss differential!)
- is the resolution specked in 1-bit (harsh) or 8-bit (more subtle with the ability to lay down each CMYorK color with 256 gradations per dot.
- are the printed colors accurate and pleasing (a few test prints is the only way I can tell this for myself)
- is the printer consistent or will it start streaking or showing gear movement after a few hundred prints or as the durables wear down

Cost
- what is the real-world cost per print at the average coverage you'll be running (few people print in color at 5% coverage at which the manufacturers spec consumables) If you're printing x-volume, you might find a noticeable savings by paying more up front for a printer with larger and/or cheaper consumables.
- are the consumables chipped (i.e. will they stop printing at an arbitrary level while there might still be 5% or 10% toner left in the cartridges, and also will possible generic refills down the road be more expensive and difficult if you wanted to save money that way?)
- for really small printers, do they come with a full supply of toner, or only partial toners as sold making you buy a full set sooner at a cost sometimes greater than the whole tiny printer)
- if you'll be printing 10k or 20k prints, what is the cost of the durables that you'll have to replace (or will you just get a new printer at that time)

Flexibility
- will it load the weights of stock you want to print on?
- Does it allow custom size prints for those odd jobs?
- Will it feed a reasonable stack of envelopes if you want to address a batch?
- Does it duplex if you want to print doublesided?

No familiarity with the ML-2851ND, but we had three of samsung's tiny ML-300 color lasers using them to print letters and misc items on the corner of the desk that we don't want to warm up the big printers for; one died, and the other two are so-so. I prefer HP, Ricoh, and Canon.

The things I don't like about our little samsungs are that the drivers are poor (for example one had a waste container ajar, and the samsung status panel built into the driver reports "problem communicating with printer." That's not very helpful when the problem is the waste toner not inserted correctly) and basic compents are poorly designed in my opinion (for example the printer itself is designed a little too small so if you print a dozen prints they sometimes slide off the top tray which isn't big enough to actually fit the print securely; if you pop up the paper tray extender the angle is wrong so prints sometimes curl and insert themselves into the pile getting the document out of order -- this should be simple and I don't know how they got it wrong. Likewise, I've encountered two dud toner cartridges which is poor since the toner cartridges on our model are simply plastic containers with toner and a stirring screw and a chip; two duds is too many out of a total of maybe 15 inserted.)

which one of these printers would you buy, if price wasn't an issue. Main uses would be for home. Might do some 15-30 page printing once in a while, but mostly 2-3 pages at a time.
