I am printing bumper stickers using a Konica bizhub c452. I am printing on a vinyl pressure sensitive, then coating with a UV resistant pressure sensitive laminate. I have been getting complaints concerning how fast they are fading. They were much better with the copier we had before we "upgraded". I am looking into upgrading to a better copier, but I wondered if anyone had any suggestions. I considered going to aqueous pigment printer, but we do not print enough bumper stickers to be worth the cost right now.

What kind machine did you have before? I an Copier/Printer Service Engineer with a Print Shop... From my experience - color fading in direct sunlight isn't a requirement for copiers / printers at all so everything will be trial and error and whatever you would buy could hardly be called better for this particular purpose as just because it is a 100K system or whatever it may not lasts better/longer outside in direct sunlight...

It has been quite a while and I am not sure what it was, but I think it was a 500 series Konica. I am interested in any suggestions, including a entirely different process as long as it would not cost a fortune.
